Can not install VLC
« on: January 24, 2010, 03:59:03 PM »
I am loading PCLOS on to a new PC.  I have installed it and upgraded to KDE4.  When I try to install VLC I get the following:
Could not mark all packages for installation or upgrade
vlc:
 Depends: vlc-plugin-mad
 Depends: vlc-plugin-a52
 Depends: vlc-plugin-ogg
 Depends: vlc-plugin-theora
 Depends: libvlccore.so.2
 Depends: libvlc.so.2
Depends: libxcb-keysyms.so.0  but it is not installable

Any ideas?

Guys, please search first. This issue has been discussed many times, e.g. here  ;)

Funny thing is, I searched first and didn't see it.  Must have had a typo which is tough with only three letters.

Hehe, that's one for the PCLOS quote list!  ;D ;D

At least you now know that we're close to getting all the new stuff shortly. I'm sure it'll be fixed then.

Just in case you want to follow Tex's progress, take a look at the twitter page.
