Microsoft did have the sense to let its users stick with WinXP until the dud got flushed out...

I dont recall mentioning Win2K in that. I get what you mean but the analogy was just to make a "point". I brought up Win98SE...not Win98 exactly. As in my former windows user time. It was 1 of the hardest OS's to pry users off of. Despite the benefits of moving on to XP. None of them were easily sold.
But, Im not looking to get deep into this. It was simply a "point" trying to be made. That I hope some people that have issues over fresh reinstallations can understand. Nothing more.
