I have enabled lm_sensors package via Synaptic but can't find it anywhere. Running kde4
Does anyone know where it might be hiding? ???

lm_sensors is a console tool, called by another app

you need to open konsole and write su and enter

then write your root password

now you can configure lm_sensors, write sensors-detect and press enter

answer the questions done by the app and hopefully you will have all your sensor reporting values properly

while as root in konsole write exit and press enter

now write sensors and press enter, those are your sensor values

some superkaramba monitors can use this values, other apps too(some plasmoiuds maybe)

Just as a small addition - when you're finished detecting the sensor values either reboot or, still as root user, enter service lm_sensors start.

Ksensors is the kde gui for lm sensors, but afaik it's only for kde3. I run it on my kde3 box. I couldn't find Ksensors for kde4.
