Hi friends,
I want a thorough and a complete procedure for watching videos on PCLinux Minime 2009.1 KDE 3. The videos that I want to watch are of formats: avi (480p and 720p), mp4 (480p and 720p), mkv (with subtitle), rmvb, flv (flash video downloaded on pc), dvd etc. The fact is I installed mplayer and smplayer but none of them load. Then I installed kaffeine and xine. They load but cannot play the audio part of my mp4 and mkv files. I also cannot watch my flv video files. The fact is I am totally at a loss right now. Cannot watch any video nor listen to music. Is there any detailed procedure/article for installing packages (codecs, players, dependencies etc.) in MiniMe 2009 that will enable me to watch videos of almost every formats and audios too?
MiniMe 2009.1 does not have any media player installed along with codecs for that reason I am not understanding which packages I should download and install to avoid system crashes or hanging. Please help me friends solving this problem.
Thanks in advance.
