and i hope you keep learning how to do a complete them with everything transparent, also how to modify every single plasmoid to transparent or at least very clear, something very nice could come from your creations
Then I must certainly learn more of the capabilities of Inkscape, first. I have a basic grasp of its operation; however, some of the more arcane aspects yet elude me - such as, for example, how to control the percentage
amount of transparency, instead of dealing with it in an 'On-Off' manner.
i never said that but i surely said that the whole post got a discouraging tone, very uncomfortable at least from my point of view, all i said was that a completely transparent desktop gives a disordered impression and i really like order in my desktop(i already ended burned for this preference in another post)
While that is indeed true, I sensed the ulterior implication regardless. As an individual though, you surely have a right to hold your own opinions and preferences; as certainly as does anyone else, including even myself. You place your emphasis on the desktop, whereas to my view it is the taskbar that is of ultimate utility and importance (due to the fact that I very seldom actually see any of my desktops, as they are normally completely covered by some app, anyhow.).
anyway i'm happy you can make the system behave the way you like it at least a a little bit with this
As am I, also! Please believe me, T6; I was not joking, when I said that I have been wishing to achieve this particular effect for more than two years now. When
was that LG3D 'demo' distro first released, anyhow? It's been since then, at any rate, for initially that was the culprit - I first fell in love with the look, then and there.
At this point though, I find I must make a decision. There are at least several remaining taskbar-related issues that I wish to deal with, but I am viewing the present size of this thread and so find myself wondering if perhaps it may be better to start a new one? Which direction would you recommend? I find I am now indecisive - on the one hand, the primary focus of this thread has now been solved; on the other, however, the remaining questions are still all taskbar-related, so logically they should remain together with the existing thread focus. So: begin anew, or continue this thread onwards? Which approach would be less confusing for others, or more productive?
