Hi,
Been having a few problems with sound, as in random silence, tried the "alsaconf" in Terminal to repair which it does, for awhile anyway, so i've ended up re-installing all the alsa packets, now i get this:-
Running PCLinuxOS DKMS build routine. Please Wait....

cleaning build area....(bad exit status: 2)
sh configure --with-sequencer=yes --with-oss=yes --with-pcm-oss-plugins=yes --with-pcmcia=kernel --with-isapnp=no --with-cards=all --with-kernel=/lib/modules/2.6.27.31.tex5/build --with-moddir=/lib/modules/2.6.27.31.tex5/kernel/sound > /dev/null; make.....(bad exit status: 2)
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 2.6.27.31.tex5 (i586)
Consult the make.log in the build directory
/var/lib/dkms/alsa-driver/1.0.21.1pclos2009/build/ for more information.
Error! Could not locate snd-hwdep.ko.gz for module alsa-driver in the DKMS tree.
You must run a dkms build for kernel 2.6.27.31.tex5 (i586) first.
error: %post(dkms-alsa-driver-1.0.21-1pclos2009.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 4
So i looked in the make.log
DKMS make.log for alsa-driver-1.0.21.1pclos2009 for kernel 2.6.27.31.tex5 (i586)

Is there something i'm missing? i don't have a clue what the above means.
