Worry not.  As far as I know Texstar and co. are working on some major updates that includes newer releases.  I myself am just not bothering with the updating until I notice some announcements of big updates.

he documents 2010 progress in pclinuxos twitter account here: http://twitter.com/iluvpclinuxos

looks like things are moving along. I suspect the repository is a bit quiet because he wants all updates to happen at the same time.

There are people who want something to be updated almost daily for assurance that development is still happening and there are others who dont like constant updates and have already complained.

.. 3 things are certain in life : death, taxes and software bloat ..
.. tell me something i don't know, something i can use as i struggle to reason with the world around me ..

and then there are those of us who are just worried that Synaptic has stopped working properly and that we're not longer "connected" to PCLinuxOS -- lol

i suspect that this is one of the possible outcomes any time there is a lack of information.

let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

I feel better now. I came looking to see if I did something wrong and wasn't getting updates. Looks like I need not worry any longer.
