Problem setting authentication - mislabelled file in repos
« on: January 12, 2010, 02:19:07 PM »
I'm trying to set up authentication on one of my PCLOS machines to an Active Directory server, but the authentication installation fails. I've discovered the problem: during the setup for Kerberos authentication, the installer within PCC attempts to install the "pam_krb5" package, however, the package within the repos has been labelled "pam-krb5". Could we please have the package renamed and pushed out to the mirror repos? Thanks!  ;)

PS - Diehard KDE3 fan here, and I wasn't too impressed with what KDE4 turned out to be (don't mean to put down the gang's work, it's how the KDE team developed it, and it just goes against my personal preferences now). As I know I'll eventually have to give up the KDE3 desktop, I started checking out the alternative DEs out there. I must say I've been rather pleased with the LXDE version of PCLOS that has been released. I just may change over to it; doing testing with VBox right now. Props to everyone involved in that release!  ;D

Hi all,
I have the same problem here.

BTW, I clearly remember posting a reply about this problem (not sure this was the thread), and a subsequent reply by Texstar saying that an upcoming drakxtools update would have solved the problem. Today I saw the drakxtools package was updated, so I tried again and got the same error. So I went looking for my old post and Texstar' reply, but I found nothing. I went to look at ALL my posts, and it was not there. What's happening? Texstar, did you delete the replies because the issue is still there?

Bye
Cris
