Size Issues
« on: January 12, 2010, 02:00:17 PM »
Yesterday I reinstalled MiniMe with KDE 4, and now the sizes on things aren't quite right. For example, the copy notification/pop/whatever is huge, as is the password prompt during a screensaver. I'm also having the perennial clock problems (hidden digits and refusal to break the date onto a second line). It doesn't matter what theme I use, and I have the correct drivers for my video card installed and the correct monitor resolution. Is there a solution?

After some tinkering, I've discovered that the size of the clock is controlled by the "Small Fonts" setting in KControl. However, I have to set it fairly low (7 pts with my current font) in order to break the clock onto two lines, because if I make it any bigger (even by one point) it returns to being a single line.

This also causes a very weird glitch. If I try to display the year as a part of the date, the whole clock starts shaking rapidly. I'm not really sure how else to describe it.
