« on: January 09, 2010, 05:49:57 PM »
Is it possible to change the text colour of the clock and how?I currently have a black task bar(which I like) and black clock digits and would like to change them to a lighter colour.

Right click on the clock and click on "digital clock settings" (at least that is what mine says) There you will find both text color and font size.

For some reason mine doesn't appear that way.If I click on 'digital clock settings' there are no text colour or font sizes to select.

Are you using KDE 3.5? (inquiring minds and all that) If so right click on the clock (I have mine set to plain) at the bottom click on "configure clock" change the color by clicking on the foreground color and pick whatever you want from there (date works the same) ;) if you're using KDE4, Gnome, LXDE or E17, I haven't the foggiest.
Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.

Hi Weirdwolf

No I'm using LXDE.It's no big deal as I've now changed the colour of the task bar to a lighter one and at least I can see the digits now.
I'll mark as solved but really the question is still unsolved.

right click on the clock and select "Panel Settings" at the bottom of the box is the "Font" Custom Color setting. It is quite different than setting it in KDE3 or KDE4

Ah yes I understand now.I hadn't realized the clock font could be altered using the colour triangle chart.
Thanks for that YouCanToo.
