Verbose reports anomaly

I'm not too sure whether this is the right place to post this one. When shutting down a line in Grub reads "Shutting down Login Anomaly Detection System - FAILED

Can anybody tell me what it means? TIA

I very much doubt that this message is from Grub ......... please explain exactly how and where you see this message.

If the message is not from Grub you might get better responses if the title reflects that .... if you can you might also try to give some indication of the few lines preceeding the error so readers have a grasp of when in the shutdown process it is happening.

I have not seen anything like it so cannot help unfortunately .....

I have not seen anything like it so cannot help unfortunately .....

The preceding line reads "shutting my sql" and the one after "stopping anacron".

Do you have cfengine installed? looks like the most likely app to provide that notice,

No Jase, just checked. None of my machines have cfengine installed.
