Hi,
I am running a few computers on the network at home linux/mac/windows with no problems. I am attempting to connect my computer downstairs and when I try to connect wireless it tells me "Connection Failed". I am using the LXDE distro.
If I disable hotplugging it says "Connection Failed. Failed to get a network address on interface wlan 0 (DHCP) protocol".
I have disabled my password and still the same thing. I know the wireless card is working because it detects all the networks around me just find. It is the RaLINK RT2561/RT61.
I have booted under the livecd under the root account (kind of don't want to wipe windows till I know the wireless works).
I have set my router to allow up to 50 DHCP connections and it is broadcasting in mixed mode (although I have tried just BG as well and still no luck).
Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?
