Double entries for / and /home in Dolphin
« on: Yesterday at 03:08:29 PM »
64bit main install, updated through PASS

After today's update which involved kdelibs, lib64atasmart4 and udisks2, I have double entries for my root (64_root) and home (64_home) partitions in Dolphin:

Before update, I didn't have the second entries under the Devices tab.

Is this normal?

Maybe a reboot is in order after updating to udisks2-2.1.0-2pclos2013? I have 8 partitions and they show correct in dolphin and they also mount in /media again as that appears to be what people expect.

Using KDE:
My root partition has an entry in the Devices section in Dolphin ....  previously it was not present.
It also shows in Device Notifier as a mounted partition ....  again a first.

In MATE:
Neither Dolphin nor Caja shows the root partition under Devices

I do not think it any great disadvantage .....  in fact it might well be advantageous to have the entry there.

I can right click and hide the entry in Dolphin if I wish .....  so no problem with it being available.

Partitions now mount under  /media  using Dolphin.

Partitions mount under  /media   using Caja
