Interesting that the .32 kernel is slated to see 2-3 yrs worth of updates, found this during some reading:

Three stable kernels released (2.6.32.4, 2.6.31.12, and 2.6.27.44)
[Kernel] Posted Jan 18, 2010 19:06 UTC (Mon) by jake
The -stable team has announced three new stable kernels: 2.6.32.4, 2.6.31.12 , and 2.6.27.44. There are less than ten patches each for .31 and .27, but the .32 release has 52 patches, all over the tree. There seem to be security issues fixed in each, however, so users are strongly encouraged to upgrade—as usual. Barring "something really odd", this will be the last 2.6.31 stable release, but Greg Kroah-Hartman did "pre-announce" his plan for 2.6.32 to be maintained for a longer term (a la 2.6.27)—a more "official" announcement is coming Tuesday.

Update: The announcement came a day early and, among other things, notes that 2.6.27 is becoming less viable though he plans to keep maintaining it for another 6-8 months. 2.6.32 is slated for 2-3 years of updates.

Anyone testing this kernel find out if it supports some USB digital tv dongles? (LeadTek, DigitalNow) Texstar said that might but didn't know for sure.

I tried booting the testing kernel and it dropped to shell and I left it at that for now as I don't know what I am doing.:):)
