So who here is running the "testing" 2.6.32 kernel? How's it going?

Just installed it, had to go through the rigmarole of startx and XFdrake after that it was a bit better in getting to the Desktop (for me anyway), it didn't go through the usual installing the alsa and video drivers and everything else that it normally does, must be the way it works now, can't say i notice anything, yet, time will tell.

I've got it running nicely with KDE4 (using it now). Had to install the kernel headers (weren't installed as a dependant) so that DKMS would find them for nvidia, but no problems since.

Checked OO, Kaffeine with DVB-T, Kmail, the usual stuff. All works fine.  :D

Live CD from Virtualbox coming up after a night's rest (it's almost 2 in the morning here in Germany)...  8)

Got it here , runs great, my laptop's wifi light now works correctly (blue and flashes orange with activity).

issues, encountered are that as mentined  above the headers were not drawn in as a dep (being fixed afaik), and had to launch dkms manually (service dkms start) to get some modules to build)

madwifi failed to build with a bad exit status of 2, although quick fix is to use ath5k - which works great in this kernel) to do this I just removed the ath0 interface uninstalled dkms-madwifi , then unblacklisted ath5k and mac80211, then I used modprobe ath5k to prevent having to reboot and set up the connection via PCC.

No other downside to be mentioned and boy is it fast

Mmm, headers, surprising the difference they make  :D now i load faster

I've been running it the last couple of days. It seems very quick. One strange thing may be related to a build that I did using the nosrc.rpm from the developer's list. It is still happening with the official 2.6.32-pclos5 from testing (I'm using it now). The booting process falls back to text, but it is very small and only the colored words show up (like [OK]). I am assuming the text is black on black. This is on a Toshiba laptop with an Intel video chip.

was about to mention  about that - just tried on the acer one . think its a no go for now for that (intel)

Which of fglrx drivers ?  I run the .185 drivers and dkms builds it fine.

The intel graphics seems to work ok, except for the boot screen. (I have compiz running, kde3.5, no glitches).

The 2.6.31.9 has better intel graphic support.
