Amarok and Shoutcast

With the latest update Amarok lost it's support for Shoutcast. If you want it back, please install the script within Amarok. Just search for "shoutcast". It works like a charm.

And in order to do that, launch Amarok, go to Tools --> Script Manager. At the bottom of Script Manager, click on Get More Scripts (the button with the star icon). On the right hand side of Amarok Add-On Installer is a search box, type shoutcast and hit Enter. You should get one result - SHOUTcast service. Click install on the right hand side of the item. Restart Amarok.

Again, go to the Script Manager and enable the service, and it should be good to go!

Fixed yet again in -2pclos. I really wish amarok developers would add it back so I don't have to keep hacking back in after every update. grrrr....

Thx for providing Shoutcast again!  :D

It might save you future work making a Shoutcast script package so you just have to reinstall the Shoutcast package after a new Amarok version, but I may be wrong here ...  :-\

It's not a script. I don' trust scripts. I use code from a previous amarok release that had shoutcast support patched back into the current version.

Yes thanks very much. I gotta have "BellyUp4Blues"  on Shoutcast and I've been a nervous wreck trying to figure out what to play it with
before I found this thread.   ::)

I know it's a bit tardy, but I wanted to say thanks for this tip, much appreciated! I was that close to throwing out the Amarok-baby with the bathwater!
