if you are in kde3 or 4 in kde control center you can find the mouse settings that allows you to speed up or down the mouse

in pclinux control center/hardware you can verify that the mouse is properly recognized, i don't remember if there is a speed setting in there

I have the setting MAXED out. Still not fast enough though. Is there some way to manually set the acceleration value by editing a configuration file or something similar?

Try playing with xset commands for the mouse in a console.

xset m 5 1

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.

Hey, I think that actually worked! Thanks a lot! It seems much more responsive now. When your in front of the computer as much as I am you want to move your wrist as little as possible.

Hey there, it doesn't seem that some of my Linux systems are saving the xset changes causing me to re enter the code ever time I boot. Any way to fix this?
