Dolphin crashes after doing multimedia

All,

I have noticed a regular occurrence when using Dolphin and
playing MP3's and WMV/MOV files.

I can navigate easily to a directory containing the above
file types.  However, I find rather consistently that after
playing a number file types, I sometimes cannot navigate
to another directory and almost always when closing Dolphin
it will crash.

In the first case after playing several types of files I find I cannot
navigate down the directory structure with Dolphin. What
I mean by this is that I can double-click up and out of the
directory I am currently in, but when I double-click on a directory
name to navigate down, nothing happens. When I close Dolphin, it crashes.

In a variation of the first case I play several file types in the same
directory. When I close Dolphin it crashes.

This happened with 4.3.2 and still happens with 4.3.3. 

I am not complaining. Just noticing a pattern.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Are you using the rasterblaster mod?  If so try removing it an see if Dolphin still crashes.  I believe there has been some issues with Dolphin crashing while using that mod.

 I'm having issues with dolphin crashing on close as well. No matter what I'm doing with dolphin, upon closing it pops up that dolphin crashed unexpectedly.

 BTW, I don't have rasterblaster installed.

I have this issue as well.... Hopefully, it'll be fixed in the new version!

I had two almost identical kde3 setups on different computers. One is a PIII desktop with a fx5200 graphic card, the other is an IBM thinkpad laptop.

I moved to kde4 on the desktop using the method posted and had no end of trouble with it after the update. Changing the video driver, stability went from yuk to very yuk. I fired up a prior snapshot and all was fine so it's not the computer acting up. I even built a couple of fantastic remasters for a netbook from the kde3 base on that computer to take on holidays with me...

I did exactly the same update with the Thinkpad and it works fine with kde4. Haven't had any reason to touch it.

I suggest trying the same software on different computers when you've found something bad. Hopefully we'll 'out' these picky hardware items and the cause of some of these darn crashes.

Same here, no biggy though as I'm closing it anyway, but I suppose it could get annoying after while
