Neat feature in KDE4

Just came across this neat feature in KDE4.3

You will need to have more than 1 desktop (I have 4), desktop effects enabled and desktop grid enabled. This effect allows you to see your desktops in a grid, by pressing ctrl+F8, and then navigating to anyone by clicking on it.

Now try this;

On desktop 1 open a program, for example synaptic.
Now press ctrl+f8 to bring up the grid - you will see the app open on desktop1 and also the other desktops will be shown. As you move the mouse pointer around the desktop under it will show up and the others will dim.
Move your mouse pointer over the open app window on desktop1 and right click.
Now the app will appear on all desktops.
Now move your mouse pointer to another desktop, in my example desktop4, and right click again on the open app window.
The app should now disappear from the other desktops and will only be on the new one.
Left click, or ctrl+F8 to go back to a single desktop

i am using kde4-svn and the following will be in 4.4 if its not on 4.3

in a desktop grid, you can move a window from one desktop to another by dragging and dropping it ..this is much more intuitive

you can set your desktop grid to show up by placing the cursor on the edges of the desktop, i have set mine to do that when the cursor is on the upper right, upper left corner is for showing apps  open in a current desktop as a grid

I've been using the ctrl + 1 method of desktop switching, but the corner activated grid is much better.

Yep, those work in 4.3.3 also

yep, i've removed the pager from my taskbar now as well

he, he... i just opened a program in each dt and when i click on the program on the Taskbar, it switches to that desktop.  i'll have to try the corner activated grid, too and see which i like better.

I only have a few KDE 4.3.x desktop enabled and the rest is handled by Compiz. I don't think I've enabled this particular feature but can someone confirm (from my understanding of daveleh's description) that it is quite the same as Compiz's Expo (as seen on this screenshot)?
