After my post shortly ago, I decided to see if kMyMoney would run in two different distros running KDE 4 (these are the 4.2.2 and 4.2.4 releases) - as pointed out, I already knew it worked on one of the distros - though I forgot that was a LiveCD (I was just checking it out and playing with it then);
I installed kMyMoney on both distros (however, it was version 0.9.2 of kMyMoney as opposed to version 1.0.0-CVS which is on my PCLinuxOS), and it worked on both distros running the KDE 4.x.x Desktop environments - the catch is that when installing kMyMoney, it most likely pulls in "kde 3" dependencies (which relates to what "wayne1932" pointed out in this thread, reply #4), because when I hit the HELP menu and selected "About KDE", it shows version 3.5.10;
Maybe some folk(s) using KDE 4 for their PCLinuxOS install can toy around somehow to have kMyMoney - perhaps, temporarily changing (or adding) kde to the repository, or whatever, and if successful, post how it was done for those that prefer kMyMoney (like myself) and want the desktop to be KDE 4.
