removing uneeded and unecessary files

Could someone please provide me a list of files (or point me in the right direction) that I can safely remove from PCLOS 2009? I do not need any server files, I also believe that XML and SQL files are not needed as all I want to do is maybe download some music, surf the web, send e-mail with or without attachments, and applications such as that. I am not really interested in programming or making my own programs. My computer is an IBM ThinkPad A13 with 30 gb hard drive, one single 1gb RAM board, standard IBM motherboard with Intel P4 CPU (1.6 gHz.) I would greatly appreciate any help someone could give me.

pclinuxos comes in two flavors. The standard install(around 700MB) and a minime(around 300MB).

It looks like you are looking for the minime edition. This version only contains the minimum and let the user add only packages they want.
