I don't know about whimsey.  I was just peddling my stationary bike yesterday because it was raining and couldn't take timeth's advice and walk outside.  I always listen to the radio with the loudest fastest tunes while biking.  Up came Let It Be and being a bit hard of hearing from listening to all those loud tunes, it sounded like Download Me.  And the rest just made sense.....to me anyway.   :P

Years ago I insisted that my husband have his ears checked because I thought he just was not hearing me correctly.  We went to the doctor and had all the tests and evaluations. The doctor, while pronouncing his hearing to be in tip top shape, looked at me and said, "Your husband's only problem is that he has selective hearing."

To this day he still is not cured.  Seems I have caught the same affliction.  ;)
