I made apackage for alleyoop it is a gnome Valgrind frontend.
I have tested it on a virtualbox install mini-me after an update and with packages tasks-package-kde4, xarchiver, emacs
I also have a text script that know what rpms ( actually 2 on with rpm names and one with apt-get names  ) were installed after the update and after each before mentioned package. What do I do now with the package?

actually upon further testing your better off just using valgrind at the command line
