I'm lost. In synaptic, what do I download and install?  Specific files?  Or am I piecing things together from web sources/sites?

First open synaptic install gtk theme ia_ora:



Second open Lxapperance and use the theme ia_ora , easy  ;)

I haveE17 installed from the repository.  My original install is KDE.  E17 was then added.

As far as which vesion, GT orGTK, are you speaking aobut the theme itelf?  I just searched and installed.

Maybe my version of E17 isn't the same one you're using?

Yes it is but task-enlightenment does not bring in lxappearance, you have to install it from synaptic yourself.
As e17 is written in EFL there's no option to change gtk themes within e17.
After installation you can start it with lxappearance command or from then menu: Applications/More Applications/Configuration/Gtk-appearance (lxappearance)

Slick!  I'll gt his tonight!  Provided my ISP has restored my service.  They got hit by lighting last night.

Okay, lxappearance was already installed.  I found it.  So, it doesn't change the theme, it allows you to tweak aspects of the theme?
