look out, it's me...lol

I had a question. How does one change the icon set used in the e-17 light itaskng bars? do you have to change them individually?

I guess I have two questions, can you use whatever the default icons are for a particular e-17 theme in GTK?

thanks

Yes and yes  ;D.

E17 has its own icon theme , Menu > Settings > Settings Panel , tab appearance , uncheck option icons , in this way has Apps E17 Icons of theme and
Gtk Apps Icons .

ItaskNG , right click mouse over the icon you want to change and select option "edit icon" , Click on the icon in the window that has left the path i choose the icon you want to change, tab apply.

Agust

sorry, I don't mean to be dense but if I uncheck "this overides general theme", nothing happens, it just stays as whatever icon set was being used. is it different in the regular E-17 and the "Light" version?

the icons for the menus and such change, but not the gtk ones.

I thought I understood that to be what you meant. but for some reason, none of the E17 icons show up in the icon theme chooser in my versions of E17 or E17 Light. All that's listed in mine are the GTK icon themes that are installed.

and I have no idea why the "Oxygen" theme is listed twice, in both versions

E17 icons are set by the e17 theme you use, unless you set a diiferent icon theme and use the override function.

To change the icons of gtk apps use lxappearance.

yes, I just remember in an older version of e17, I guess it was thunar would take on the folder icons of the e-17 theme, or whatever the file manager was at the time.

btw, I re-re-reinstalled E-17 Light and one, I have no oxygen icons now, and Chrome minimizes and maximizes to iTask-NG the way it does in E-17 full. I had downloaded at least two different copies of the .iso. all said the checksum matched. at this point I'm thinking something on my Mac that runs in the background, or VirtualBox itself is just corrupting some guests randomly. I'm not as dense as I must seem at times. lol

I don't have a clue how I got any copies of the Oxygen icons however. I know I didn't install them. I'm not a big fan. the only thing I can figure out it some other icon set I installed to try was named incorrectly in its theme index file. But, they do looks like Oxygen. beats me.

smiles.
