I believe because of the file extension you are correct in your assumption.

Nice work by the way to Tex and the gang as E17 overlays KDE4 much nicer now, not so many issues with integration and colaberation.

I was reading that plasma kde4 can do animated wallpapers with the qedje package in the repo. Found a link on KDE.org which goes into it a bit more

No problem, I just have to extract the image file .edj and tomorrow I'll be for download.
