XFCE Panel Crash on Launcher Properties
« on: October 21, 2009, 12:42:52 AM »
Hi folks,
I am trying out Phoenix and so far loving it. I'm running it from a USB stick in order to make sure all my hardware works and am running into a weird issue. Whenever I try to get the properties on a launcher on the XFCE panel it causes it to segfault and restart the panel. dmesg | tail gives me this error:

xfce4-panel[5559]: segfault at 891cec97 ip b7fcd918 sp bfadc9f0 error 4 in ld-2.4.so[b7fc5000+18000]

I have a similar problem when I try creating a new launcher on the desktop. It works fine until I click the button to choose an icon and the launcher properties disappears and dmesg reports error:

exo-desktop-ite[5782]: segfault at 656d6988 ip b7f30918 sp bfd3f630 error 4 in ld-2.4.so[b7f28000+18000]

I assume this is a bug with XFCE but I wondered if anyone else can reproduce this problem? Is it because I am running it from a USB stick? Hopefully I can install it to a hard drive soon for further testing.

If needed my specs are:

Dell Latitude D610 laptop
2GB Ram
Intel 915GM graphics
2GB Sandisk U3 USB Flash Drive

Thanks!
