Unable to boot with kernel 2.6.27.31.tex5(SOLVED)
« on: October 11, 2009, 10:38:53 AM »
I installed kernel 2.6.27.31.tex5 today and now I can't boot.  After the boot sequence reaches "usb-storage device scan complete" nothing else happens.  Only a blinking cursor is showing and the boot process doesn't continue.  My previous kernel is 2.6.26.8.tex3 and it works just fine.  I'm using a AMD 64x2 with 4gb of ram and a G96 [GeForce 9400 GT] video card on KDE4.  Are there settings that need/can be changed to correct this?  Thanks.

Thank you, Neal.  I found the thread and added the script.  All works fine now but why did that have to be done?
Best regards,
Bob
