Basic question about the Xfce screensaver
« on: October 10, 2009, 05:42:27 PM »
How do I set the screensaver in Xfce? I've decided to try it out using the Live CD and, other than the ominously black theme, I'm liking it.

I've been looking around and I can't see where to set the screensaver.

Thanks.

rranger,

I was wondering the same thing. I've been told by someone in a position to know to install gnome-screensaver from Synaptic. That should give you full control over the screen savers.

Hope this helps!

Thanks parnote:

After days of no response to what I thought was a pretty basic question, I decided to install LDE instead. And, it's working just fine. It has a very limited footprint and isn't all black  ;D , which I'm very much liking!

Days? Your original question was posted on Oct. 10, and my reply on Oct. 11.

At any rate, I'm glad that you found a solution to your liking.
