<Solved> Localize to german
«

Hi
I would like to localize Xfce to run in german. I have installed the newest version 2009.4.
What I have done already: I run
addlocale
and added (as I hope) german. Afterwards I restarted Xfce. Everything is as before in english. So I started the control center to change the language, but german is not offered.
Have I missed out on something?
I would appreciate any kind of help.

I have localized my machine to german now. To me it looks like
addlocale
had
not
added the german locale to the system, as I described in the original posting. I have done it now manually with synaptic. I have added the package
locale-de
and now german is offered in the Control Center.

Juergen,
it is quite possible that addlocale does not work right now due to the recent updates for gcc, locales etc. I will look into this when I am back at work next week.
