you didn't mentioned the device you have

the first thing is to know if the device is working properly, does it show in pcc?

kaffeine, vlc, tvtime, xawtv, mythtv to mention some should be able to work with it, if the device is working properly(and has drivers loaded)

PCC says it is  Afatech DVB-T 2
Klear do not find any stations. - The device is marked AGK.
PCC list the device under "Other Hardware".

At the moment I use DVB-C, but if I recall correctly setting up DVB-T isn't much different.

I think kaffeine is the easiest one to set up.

I had to blacklist snd-aw2 in /etc/modprobe.conf before I could scan for channels in any program. I don't know why, but I remember that according to Google many people had to blacklist different modules to get DVB working.

In your case Kaffeine probably needs the file ~/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/dvb-t/dk-All in order to create ~/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/channels.dvb.

Checking the contents and permissions of /dev/dvb is sometimes necessary.

Do you know what driver your dvb-t device uses? My DVB-T device doesn't work because there are no suitable drivers available for linux. DVB-T devices don't seem to be well supported in linux at the moment.

The driver you need can probably be found in this package:
http://www.digittrade.de/shop/info/stick_treiber/linux/Linux_MT2060_2.6.20.tar.

For instructions on how to install, see:

Hi again

I found Kaffeine quite easy to set up.
To start when kaffeine starts up come a window  with a menu, which if your tuner is seen by kaffeine should have 7 items on the menu, the main one is an icon that as this text 7 DVB Client This shows that the usb stick as been seen by kaffeine. If that icon doesn't show then you may have a problem, maybe you need the firmware for you device. Assuming your tuner is seen then at the top of the kaffeine window click on the item DVB  then on the drop down window that comes click on Channels and it should start searching. If that is not successful you may need to click on Configure DVB before starting your search. I found that the default setting for configure DVB usually works.

Hope this is of some use and you can understand it because it lost me.  ;D :D

Hi RealAleuk

Thanks for the reply. Trouble is that the dvb section in the menu is missing. PCC recognizes the USB receiver in section 'Other hardware' as DVB-T 2 and in next line  Afatech DVB-T 2. In the first line Module: Unknown and the second line Module: kbd.
