OpenOffice Icons in XFCE

Congratulations to everyone involved in this release. It looks fantastic and is super quick.
Only problem I am having is that some programs e.g. OpenOffice load with a set of high contrast icons that look really ugly. Have played around with a number of options in OO, but haven't found a way of changing all toolbar icons with a few clicks (some change when I select a different set, but not all). Short of changing each one by hand is there another way???

In OO, click on the Tools menu and select Options. Under view you have to option to choose other icons. This will change them all.

Thanks for your reply

. Have tried your suggestion, but it only changes a few of the icons e.g. New, Open, Save, Document as E-mail. All the others stay as the hi-contrast type. Do I need to DL other icons?

Have just been trying to replicate the problem in KDE and when I change the icons in KDE all of the toolbar icons are changed. I have compared all packages with the word icon in them between the two installs and there is no difference apart from KDE base installed vs XFCE base etc....
Am reinstalling Openoffice to see if the install was borked. Any other ideas?

Could be an xfce problem. Have you installed and tried gnome?

I totally removed and then reinstalled OpenOffice and the problem is still there. While it is in some ways an openoffice problem - it seems that xfce is affecting the outcome as it works perfectly well in KDE. Then again I could be talking rubbish.....
Thanks for having a 'fiddle'

In your home directory is a hidden file named .ooo3 or something close. This is the openoffice config file for you the user. Try renaming or deleting this file and then open openoffice and see if you can change the icons as I indicated earlier. It will not hurt openoffice to delete this file. You will simply have to redo you options under tools in the menu.

Deleted the .oo3/ folder, but unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem.
Thanks for the suggestion....
