why, foobar, are you installing 2009 when 2010 is the latest version and has to be a clean install?

here i will reiterate, yet again, that if you install packages from outside the official repository, mirrored around the world, you will render your install non-standard and we won't be able to help you as we won't be able to replicate what you've done.

googleearth opens correctly from my terminal.
There is no bug in the program
Running pclos2010.1  and 2009.2
