attached is the German translation for addlocale (just remove the txt). This is just fyi or interest to look into. No need to package, Tex will do it this time.

Hi,

I have a question. If Addlocale is translated, it will still start with being in English : is that right ? And it will be in another language only once we will have ran it once ?

If I am right, there is still a problem for the non English speaking user who starts it for the first time.
What do you think ?

Melodie, yes, you are correct. System applications are displayed in, and if they have a translation for, the current system language. addlocale will add or set the new system language and a reboot is required to apply this new setting to the system. For this reason the addlocale translations will only become active after you run addlocale and reboot.
A french user who has downloaded an English iso will see the addlocale windows in English and to my knowledge there is nothing you can change about that.
A french user wanting to see the french translations in the addlocale windows should not download an english iso but the excellent french-localized isos from melodie.
