Kopete does work with MSN.

Don't know if that was for the comment i made, yes, kopete does work with msn. ;D

but i was refering to this  ;)

The trouble with GMail Talk, is that -- well, to put it bluntly, we all have a relative or "friend" who can be annoying. You can't take them off your GMail chat list in case they get upset, but every time you log in, you dread their appearance!!

Right-click on the annoying relative's ID, and hover the mouse down to their gmail address at the bottom of the menu. On the sub-menu, select "Set Availability" and what you do, ONLY applies to that person. And it works. Or it seemed to.

I will assume it only works with GMail  :(

See what you mean. Yes that feature does not work with MSN. But "invisible to all" does, which it doesn't with GMail. Strange!!

Kopete does work with MSN. The KDE4 versions works with Yahoo but not the KDE3 version.

I am running the KDE3 version and it works fine with Yahoo. Pidgin stopped with Yahoo until they updated it, Kopete never stopped working with Yahoo in the KDE3 version, for me.

Hi, people got lucky. Yahoo changed their encryption to something that Kopete couldn't handle. Pidgin fixed it and let Kopete have the new code, but Kopete only patched it into the KDE 4 version.

Since then, Yahoo has started working again on the KDE 3 version, but Tex said on another post that Kopete hasn't changed, so Yahoo must have changed their encryption again to something that Kopete can handle.

The thing is when Yahoo changed -- Pidgin stopped working for me, but Kopete never did. I switched to Kopete and never lost connection on Yahoo.

Anybody know if/when Kopete might have voice capability as well?  i see it has webcam but the quality is not quite like that of Skype (and i can't get Skype to work on my KDE4 machine.)

Have a great evening!  :)
