Has anyone on here tried using PCLinuxOS 2010 with an EeePC 700/701?

I'm just wondering, since PCLOS now uses plymouth as it's bootsplash, if it will play nicely with the non-standard screen resolution.

I have a working PCLOS 2010 remaster on CD-RW, but haven't had a chance to test it on the EeePC yet, since my external usb CD drive doesn't like CD-RW or cheap CD-R, so I still need to get some better quality discs.

Yes I have 2010 installed to a 4 gig sd card on my eee-pc 701. I had to tinker with grub to point to the sd card but that was it.

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.

Heyo,

I know this is an old thread but it's exactly what I need.

I've just got myself an Asus eeepc 1011px and trying to get the Fn-F2 key to toggle wifi on/off.
Wifi is actually working after I enabled it in BIOS but I'd like to be able to switch it on and off (there is no physical wifi switch)

Using xev reports no key event at all for Fn-F2 (which I think means that there's no hope for that key combo) but I have a couple of other Fn-F keys that report no symbol which I think means I could possibly map the wifi function to that key.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 :)
