Hi Kori..

Personally I'd like to see a complete desktop as there are already 2 barebones releases..

Plus, if it's shipped barebones, many users will install apps which effectively kill the lightweight aspect of XFCE..

So you'd maybe have something like:

Abiword
Christine Media Player
Deluge Torrent Client
gaddr address book
gdict  dictionary
gigolo  frontend to manage remote filesystems
gpicview   very lightweight & excellent image viewer
gtk-xfce-engine
gtk-xine
parcellite clipboard manager
sound-juicer cd ripper
xfburn
file-roller
midori web browser
mplayer
thunar + plugins


Just a few ideas..

The best lightweight apps I know:
Abiword
Gnumeric
Opera
sm/mplayer
transmission
sylpheed
gpicview
xarchiver
exaile
epdfview
brasero rather than xfburn
This are just suggestions, but you should really try all of them.

I would like to see a fully localized version of mtPaint, the newest one being 3.31.

Oh, and Fotoxx would be nice too, with UFRaw 0.15 included. Newest version: 7.4

I'd like some good tools:

*gparted
*testdisk
*memtest

Can always be useful. As far as applications are concerned, I like mplayer if there is some place left (without gui, as it can alsways be installed later). You can use it as well to watch movies as to open a radio station url, any stream in fact, music files etc... just from console (for musical streams, do add '-playlist' option between the command and the argument).
