when Libre Office is installed, will it be automatically be updated when a new version comes out?

lomanager 3.4.1-X manages LibreOffice 3.4.1, it will, see the original post:
Quote
LibreOffice Manager, or lomanger, is a user-friendly tool to
a) install the latest LibreOffice in one of the 113 LibreOffice localizations,
b) add an additional LibreOffice localizations to an existing LibreOffice installation,
c) upgrade LibreOffice from any older version,
d) properly remove a LibreOffice installation.

shortly after LibreOffice 3.4.2 is out you will find lomanager 3.4.2-X in Synaptic. Update to this version and then run lomanager 3.4.2 to upgrade your LibreOffice to 3.4.2

just a quick note: lomanager 3.4.2-1 is now in the repo on PASS and the main server. It may take a day or two until it is mirrored to the other public servers.

agreed.

pinoc, we are all thankful for all the work you do to bring theses programs and improvements, and I am pretty sure you have some pleasure doing it (most over, successfully). Just I hope you also have enough time to enjoy yourself out in the sun and all that vacations brings.

pinoc,

well, yes, could have been more relaxed. The thing is that I couldn't reproduce this problem and wanted to figure out what happened there but I was on the wrong track for quite some time; until Tex mentioned a dependency at the end of the script, which turned out to be caused but the outdated rpm toolchain... All that got stuck in my head and kept me thinking... The good thing is that this issue made me code a lot of additional things, especially now in 3.4.2,  which should be rock-solid, touch wood  ::)
Now I need to port that stuff into addlocale. 4.0 works well but there are still some small bugs to squish when running it on non en_US systems. Then this darn translation updates, took me 5 hours last night....
I'd like to finish a new FullMonty DVD but I'm afraid I won't have time for that before September cause I'm off to Germany and China for 3 weeks. First I need to get lomanager and addlocale working as I want them to. I hope lomanager is done by now with 3.4.2-1. Addlocale is much more tricky, the problem here is to code any tests for successful downloading, installing, etc language independent. A simple example, searching for the word failed or download complete works fine on English localized systems but not on others because these words are translated there... But as you may know, addlocale is my baby and I'm a stubborn coder, so I will not rest until addlocale works well  ;D
Hey luikki, good to hear 3.4.2 worked flawlessly! Now that's relaxing  :D

pinoc, if and when you will need updates with the translations for lomanager and addlocale, don't hesitate/don't forget to come and say, at the translation section of the forum.

After i did a clean install today on my netbook with the KDE 2011.6 and updated it as a test for the lomanager, i have to report that the LOmanager 3.4.2 came with the updates but still doesn't do it's jobs as it should. It installs Java but fails again on downloading Libre Office base packages:

Download and installation canceled. Please use the offline-installer described in Important Notes 1b in the lomanager-thread.

Is what i get in the last shown window.

Anyway, installed LO with the offline installer again. :)

The new lomanager worked perfectly here too. It paused for about a minute after uninstalling the old LibreOffice and before starting the download, which might have been disconcerting for very impatient newbies, but it did what it should do and it did it well. I installed a Swedish version of LibreOffice.
