I've uploaded a new version to the link in the first post.  I made the change Travis suggested and updated the distro list to include 2010 so it won't have to be modified for the next anticipated release.  Tex is still looking at it, but it installed just fine on a brand new updated install of Minime, so if there are still issues, I'll send it to the dev mailing list, cause it works for me and I'm clueless.

If anyone wants to test the latest version mkrel is not incremented, so uninstall the current version before testing the new one.

Thanks.

That tip worked great Travis!  Thanks!

Building the source there were some dependency issues.  It's in my e-mail and I don't have access to my computer at the moment.  I'll try to remember and post the details when I get home this evening.

Travis:  Here's what I did, just so you know.  Built the source rpm on my main install, copied the resulting rpm to my updated (clean) minime install, it installed fine with no issues.  I will try to build the source rpm on my minime install once I get pkgutils installed on it and see if there is any change, but if I can't reproduce the problem, I'm not sure how I can fix it.   ???

OK, I just built this, on a fully updated, no frills, no extras Minime 2008 Updated Live-USB.  The src.rpm built, and the resulting rpm installed, with no issues.  I'm at a loss, and any help or advice would be appreciated.  Now I'm off to work on ffmpeg stuff again.  Thanks.

PS:  If Tex can't build it, it will never hit the repos, and I don't have a clue what I've done wrong.  I can't produce errors so I don't know how to fix it.

The most recent version is on Neal's site, the link is in the first post.  I won't send it back to contribs till I know it works.  So far, those who have tested it say it does work and all the paths are correct.

I'm moving on to other stuff.

Ok, got it to build and it installed fine for me but there is something in the pre script that is unlinking the /tmp folder then recreating it with the wrong permissions and causing some users to have problems.

** ERROR **: I can't write to '/home/jim/tmp/orbit-jim', ORB init failed

I've had to pull the package from the repos.

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.

I had the same issue with the tmp folder, but it went away after a fresh install, thought it was just a glich on my updated tr6.  Anyway I commented that script out of the spec file and used what travis gave me, but I haven't sent that version to contribs yet.  It obviously needs more testing.

Thanks Tex.

I'm not sure why it wasn't set up like if  /tmp/.webmin doesn't exist then mkdir -p /tmp/.webmin ...

I got it figured out!  whew hew!  Let me test it on my usb minimal install.  Wow!  I didn't think I'd ever crack this nut!

I even did it right this time!  (I think  ;) )

Ouch, roadbock.  It built and installed just fine on my main install, but in my Minime build envrionment I got a seg fault installing it, so I rebuilt the source in my build environment, no errors, but the resulting .rpm still seg faults.  Working, working, and more RTFM, but I'm learnin stuff.   ;)

Well, I finally got this thing built and running again, by the book, with the patch and everything.  But, I don't think I applied the update from webmin properly:
Source1:     http://www.webmin.com/updates/file-%{version}-2.wbm.gz

The file manager does not work.  "Error:  java executable not found"

Everything else seems to be working as expected, so, it's getting there.

OK, I must be missing a dependency for the file manager, it works in my main install, but not in Minime.  It requires Java.  Still researching.

I've uploaded the latest here:
http://nbrks.com/Joble/

I don't recommend anyone play with it, unless they know what they're doing.  apt-get installs it fine, but synaptic reports size mismatch?
I'll get it eventually, but if anyone has any advice, that would be great too.

Usually when I get size mismatch it is because I need to re-run genbase / gbd..  not sure why, but sometimes I have to run it two or three times to get rid of the error (and of course apt-get update)

That was it, genbase, size mismatch is gone.  I should have known that.  Thanks.
