There are a lot of packages listed in the broken packages section, that have been marked either fixed, or solved. When I look at the actual post, I see nothing about who fixed the package. There is nothing, also, to indicate when a particular package is being worked on.
That being the case, so far, how about, from now on, when someone picks a package to work on, post a reply to the broken packages thread, to say that it's being worked on, so we all know that it is, and who the person is who's working on it. This way we avoid possible duplicated effort, and when it's marked fixed, we will know who to whip, if it isn't right.
Seriously, a reply to say who's working on it, and another reply, before marking it fixed in the subject line, saying it's done, and noting any anomalies, if they exist, so we can trace back any future problems with the new package. If you had to do any little oddities to do the upgrade, it wouldn't hurt to add that too. It should be in the package change log, but this just gives a second place to find that information without having to check the package itself, for us dummies that are just trying to keep track of what's going on.
Once the package is fixed, we'll move it out of the broken package section so as not to clutter up the area, to make it easier to find what still needs fixing.
