Localization Manager (addlocale)

Hi dudes,

i want to report a little bug.

At first the specs current lxde mini, fully updated.

I added german language via addlocale successfully but after a logout i see the content from /home/<user name> on the desktop not /home/<user name>/Desktop.

The value is false set in /home/<user name>/.config/user-dirs.dirs

Would be nice if you could correct this pinoc.

addlocale:

Please start Synaptic and follow these steps:
 1. Go to 'Settings -> Repositories' and ensure to have only
     one (1) repository enabled having the sections:
   main updates nonfree kde games
 2. Click the button 'Reload' at the top left,
 3. Click the button 'Mark All Upgrades',
 4. Click the button 'Apply' to fully update your system,
 5. After Synaptic has finished, close Synaptic and run
     addlocale again.

Exiting...

 ""'Apply' to fully update your system"" not working , or I have something in option in synaptic wrong.
I use

apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade

but not helpfull , I have problem with utf-8 in synaptic , but I don't know why.

I went to look for /tmp/AL_STEP1.list but I saw no file with that name, in fact no file at all in /tem, only directories. Xsearch also failed to find it.
I use LXDE.
Any help is appreciated

the error message says it all, your repo setup is wrong, i.e., this is your current setup:

you have kde as well as kde4, you should only have kde4 (if you use KDE 4.6.5) OR kde (if you use KDE 4.8.3), the sections special testing unstable should only be used by advanced users and are not supported by addlocale.

updated addlocale language archives are now available in the repo. They contain all language info from all our repo packages (including updated translations in KDE 4.9.2), and some other patched in translations. addlocale 4.2-4 coming soon with a fix for users not using bash as their default shell, thanks to xr200 for the hint.

Note: if you have already localised your system then there is no need to run addlocale again.

Some problem with localisation manager.

It's there , but trying to upgrade it gives:

searching the forum provides this, meaning addlocale works properly. You could try to
a) uninstall the conflicting package, then localise.
b) run addlocale --no-updatetest
