addlocale 4.0-5 coming to your repo soon, change:
- updated to work with new FF and TB locale packages
- added error message output if repo-packages were not found
- fixed addlocale autoupdate installation

enjoy,
-p.

4.0-5 has just failed.

Here's the contents of the AL_Step1.list

Code: [Select]
coreutils-doc enca glib-gettextize glibc-i18ndata intltool libgdata-i18n perl-Text-CharWidth perl-Text-WrapI18N php-translit
kde4-l10n-en_GB docbook-style-xsl docbook-dtd412-xml docbook-dtd42-xml docbook-dtd43-xml docbook-dtd44-xml docbook-dtd45-xml
myspell-en_GB aspell-manual aspell-en firefox-en_GB

Is this useful?

Thanks,

Hugh

Got the 4.0-6 update. Still failing.

Code: [Select]
coreutils-doc enca glib-gettextize glibc-i18ndata intltool libgdata-i18n perl-Text-CharWidth perl-Text-WrapI18N php-translit kde4-l10n-en_GB

myspell-en_GB aspell-manual aspell-en firefox-en_GB

I already have firefox-en_GB on my system. Would that compromise your locale application? Shouldn't think so, but what do I know, eh?

Hope this helps,

Hugh

I've just noticed that apart from docbook stuff all the contents of my /var/cache/apt folders have gone despite my keeping downloaded rpms by choice in my synaptic preferences!!

I seem to recall that older addlocale versions also offered the choice to keep all downloaded packages.

I haven't actually seen that dialogue yet - presumably because the app is exiting early and clearing out my hoarded rpms!!

This all I have left:

Code: [Select]
aspell-en-6.0.0-10pclos2009.i586.rpm
aspell-manual-0.60.6-10pclos2009.i586.rpm
coreutils-doc-8.7-2pclos2010.i586.rpm
docbook-dtd412-xml-1.0-20pclos2010.noarch.rpm
docbook-dtd42-xml-1.0-7pclos2010.noarch.rpm
docbook-dtd43-xml-1.0-5pclos2010.noarch.rpm
docbook-dtd44-xml-1.0-3pclos2010.noarch.rpm
docbook-dtd45-xml-1.0-2pclos2010.noarch.rpm

addlocale will clean your rpm-cache before downloading the needed packages. This is needed to get this fancy progress dialog window working  ::)
4.0-6 works fine here using PASS, KDE, and British English.
Try running it again, maybe there was some network timeout.
Or you can try to edit as root  /usr/bin/addlocale and at line
a) 1852 change sleep 1   to  sleep 2
b) 1862 enter sleep 5, then save the file and run addlocale with this and let me know if this helped.

I will only have time tomorrow to look into this any further.

Made the changes in /usr/bin/addlocale you have recommended.

That did the trick.

Thanks for your help.

addlocale 4.1-3 now in your repo; starting with addlocale 4.1 you can now use this script for both, 32/64-bit installations
changes:
- removed support for localized man-pages
- updated setup for new tesseract-packages
- updated setup for Thunderbird and Firefox languages
- fixed addlocale version check, repo setup check, and some other things

Please note: For technical reasons addlocale will no longer automatically add localized man-pages. If you want them then you should install them yourself or just go online and read the uptodate man-pages.

have fun,
-p.

Open Synaptic. Click Reload. Click Mark All Upgrades. Click Apply. If mixxx package does not get updated, search for the package and manually mark it for upgrade.
