For S&G's, I also just checked the latest Gtk+ version of Tea (17.6.6). It requires GTK 2.4. The GTK version in the repos is 2.14.  :(

Well, I just checked the readme for versions 19 and 20, yep both require QT4.4 so.... Guess maybe pick something different, unless someone knows a way around this.

I'll start looking for another project.  This time I'll check it out and make sure it at least looks like something we can do.  Bummer, but hey, it's part of the process.

Joble,

Wouldn't it be a whole lot easier if we ALL were able to help pick a project to start on ... by having Package Request unlocked ... or set to read-only?

Maybe, but, with the backlog that's in there now, don't you think they would like to work on what's there, before everyone starts piling on more?    I'll bring it up, but I ain't gonna be the one to unlock the door.

Understandable. Just thought we noob-packagers might be able to help clear some of that backlog. Hard to do when you can't see/don't know what's behind that locked door.

thinking it might be best to start a new package request area .. since it has been closed that long that all of it is way outdated .......do not think playing catchup would be a good thing, rather go from where we are today..

Maybe you can check for projects in the broken packages section.  If you wanna jump right in, and skip class.   ;D

Yes but with your great knowledge of scripting you will grasp them 2 in no time while for me its gonna be learning from the scratch... Will take a bit.
