New Lenovo laptop

Hi everyone;

I just purchased and installed 64bit PCLinuxOS to a Lenovo G580.

Install was smooth and easy.

Wireless card is a Broad com.

Will work with it and check things out

UPDATE:
The BIOS is set up for the newest security software.
It was a simple thing to go into the bios and select the legacy Bios.  Works slick as a whistle.

Did you ditch win 8 or dual boot?
Does the web cam & HDMI output work?

Wiped Win 8  and single boot only,
Discovered that the Hard Wire interface isn't booting the system.
Did some searching and found that PClinuxOS doesn't have driver for for this network card but it does for the wireless, go figure.
I am going to see if I can find a work around because I prefer to use the computer hard wired here at home.

Web camworks, tested it with vlc

Dont have any thing with HDMI so am unable to test
