Broadcom BCM43228
« on: March 21, 2013, 04:18:31 AM »
 Hi,
besides compiling the Broadcom driver (which failed for me), has anyone had success with the current wl module wrt the Broadcom BCM43228 Wireless chip?

My computer is an Acer Aspire V3-571 (of which I have 2: the latest purchase has the Broadcom chip.) Everything else runs fine.

regards Doug

I'm sure you have been through the following topic, right?

Hi,
thanks. I went through that but for some reason I could not get it to compile properly (I am not a programmer, so really lost)

The wireless is seeing the Router, but the signal strength is only 1 red bar: obviously not right. The notebook beside it runs wireless with nearly full row of green.

regards Doug

Other than that "one red bar", can you connect to your router?
Are you facing connection stability issues?
