PASS Account clean up
« on: March 18, 2013, 11:22:24 AM »
I will be clearing out old expired 2010 PASS codes this week. If you have already renewed your account and are using your new code you can ignore the incoming email from me.

You can always email me texstar at gmail.com if you have any problems or questions concerning your PASS account.

Thank you for supporting PCLinuxOS!
Tex

I'm still in the process of playing catch up and expiring old PASS accounts from 2011. If you get a renewal email and have already renewed, you can ignore it.

I will be expiring the remaining PASS accounts issued in 2011 by April 15th. Once I get caught up I will resume sending courtesy emails out. If you have any questions about your PASS account, you can always email me texstar at gmail.com

Thanks again for supporting the distribution.

Could you please allow for a higher amount for a donation.  The current Buynow button creates a link defaulting to 1 pass account at a Holiday discount rate. There is no option to donate extra.

My 2012 PASS account will be expiring soon.  I'll be sending a check soon for my next donation.
Please consider an alternative online payment method, such as PayPal (may be they skim a few %?, I dunno).  I want nothing to do with Google Wallet, TYVM.

And congratulations to TexStar and the entire PCLOS dev team for the awesome new 64-bit Full Desktop release 2013.04, it rocks!

Awesome! Sorry, but I will never do business with PayPal again. If you are sending a check on a US bank be sure to include your email address and specify if you want 32bit pass or 64bit pass.

Thanks for your support!

Yes of course and I will also post how to convert your existing 32 bit pass account to 64 bit pass for those who have made the switch to 64 bit PCLinuxOS.

To change your PASS code from 32 to 64 bit:

1. Open Synaptic
2. Click on Settings -> Repositories
3. Click on your PASS server Entry
4. Change pclinuxos/2010 to pclinuxos/2011
5. Change the sections to x86_64 kde xfce4
6. Click OK
7. Copy your updated /etc/apt/sources.list to your 64bit install.

*Note: If you added the megagames repo. you will need to uncheck it or delete it from sources.list file.
