HP or Canon printer

Hi my HP printer died about a month ago whilst i was still using win7 did not buy another then as knew i would be moving to PCLOS wanted to be sure i bought printer that works with this os just need a basic cheap printer i am unsure which of these two models would be best
HP Deskjet 1000 or Canon Pixma IP2702
So please if anyone is using either of these printers with PCLOS would be nice to hear from you.

Never used those models, but HP has pretty good Linux support. I've had a few HP printers over the years and all have worked in PCLINUX. You just need to install the hplip hpijs drivers from synaptic if not already there.

I did a search of the forum and here is someone that had the 1000 and got it to work it seems.

I don't see any search results for Pixma IP2702,so I'm not sure.


I just recently had a problem getting my HP 3050 printer to work, however it was the method I used and had nothing to do with HP. I just had to use the HP device manager application.
