cd/dvd drives will not play disks (SOLVED)
« on: March 18, 2013, 01:16:41 AM »
I know I should know this.  New install of 2013.02 kde.  I have sound at start up.  I can play music files.  I can play you tube music etc.  When I try to play a cd Amarok and KsD see the disk but will not play it.  I can rip the cd with K3b and then play them.  But not from the cd.  What am I missing?  Thanks for any replies.  Going to bed now.

Search for and install gstreamer0.10-cdio

You can also make sure you install task-multimedia.
This package installs essential components for multimedia playback.
