« on: March 17, 2013, 11:33:23 AM »
I have kde mini.

I installed task printing and the hplip drivers. What else do I need to install my wireless printer? Thanks.

I keep getting this error from Configure you computer/print configuration.

Has the printer been set up on the network?

This has to be done using Windows as I recall.

When it is set up, it will have an IP address and then PCLOS can use it.

.....  unless of course HP have recently decided to supply a Linux app for setting it up .........

I got it to work.

This printer was previously set up with a Windows PC so I knew the network connection was fine.

After installing the printer stuff from synaptic, apparently a logout was not sufficient. I had to reboot. That got rid of the error message from above.

Then, I could not install the printer from Config printers, I kept getting an error about CUPS. Tried another method...

Got it to work from PC-->MoreApps-->Printing-->HP device manager... Set it up and Test page printed.  ;D
