<Answered>What Section Netflix-player
« on: March 16, 2013, 11:19:14 PM »
Not registered as a tester so I don't think I can ask this in testing. Please move there if more appropriate.

I installed netflix-player from the testing repository and the install was a success but I can't find it. It is listed as in the Video section in properties in Synaptic but I don't see it. Even tried netflix-player in command line. What am I missing?

Using KDE.

Hey Ray2047

I don't use Netflix so I'm unable to point you to the menu field its located in but for now........

make sure the widgets are unlocked - then go the main KMenu and hover mouse over it and right click and if you are running the "classic menu" choose  Switch to Application Launcher Style

If you are already running Application Launcher Style there will be a search area at the top - enter netflix and you should see Netflix (and any other items associated with Netflix) now select the appropriate Netflix entry (something like run netflix should appear)

A quicker than above simultaneously select Alt+F2 keys and the KRunner window will appear - enter Netflix and again you should see Netflix (and any other items associated with Netflix) now select the appropriate Netflix entry (something like run netflix should appear)

If you use the Lancelot Launcher that too has a search box at the top and do as above

PCLinuxOS 32bit KDE 4.10.1; kernel-3.4.11-pclos1.bfs & 64bit 3.2.18bfs; NVidia GeForce 8400GS 1GB 310.19 driver

Thank you. I was able to start it and test it out but still don't have a clue as to where it is in the menu. I use Roku for Netflix anyway. I was just checking out of curiosity so no big deal. I have to say that is a really neat program.
